:::...about Reima Pietila and Micheal Sorkin...:::

::: PREDENCE STUDY :::

I have to be honest, I think if Alvar Aalto wasn't around, Reima Pietila should be the ultimate Finnish architect. His design is honest and simply fluid.
After watching Sean Godsell's lecture last Tuesday, I'd say that architecture in that region has certain signatures that represnt the materiality, form and distinctive elements. Although not as ecclectic as Mario Botta, Pietila's approach is more organic. Hmm...more like Wright's organic I suppose...

For further reading, I've put up link to his profile. Check it out.

Micheal Sorkin's architecture is what we would call Paper architecture. Despite that, his drawings are a true artist cum architect's expression. He does best for Urban Planning and Waterfront design. Oh, he did a proposal for Darling Harbour!
His approach is UNBELIEVEABLE. Its geometrically justified and its scheme relates to the surrounding. Don't believe me? Look out at his website... You'll love his easy-spirited drawings and colours and models.
